This is my depiction of the legendary historical figure Mulan. Her story was told through ballads. Archeologists believes that the real person behind these ballads is Wang Cong’er. She was a part of the White Lotus society. Others believed she was Fu Hao, who lived during the Bronze Age. I try to paint her as close to the art of ancient China, if she was to get her portrait painted.
